Visiting Mozambique!!

Thank you for praying! 

I'm visiting Mozambique for 3 weeks, and I'm so grateful that God has allowed me to renew my residential visa here again!

This will help so much when I am fully well and ready to return to Mozambique.

What a blessing to see my missionary family!

I almost gave Jesuita (in the middle) a heart attack, because she didn't know I'd be in Mozambique right now!

I knew her when she was a high school student in Inhambane, and she's now an elementary school teacher in Maputo. 

She said she was returning from work with her friend and she couldn't believe her eyes when she saw me! What a nice shock :)

Lord willing, this next week I hope to visit my house in Inhambane. 

I really appreciate prayer for my head pain, and that I would be an encouragement and blessing here for God's glory. 

Through the Waters

"Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by your name; you are Mine! 

When you pass through the waters I will be with you...for I am the Lord your God."

It Is Good

"It is good for me that I have been afflicted, that I may learn Your statutes. The law of Your mouth is better to me than thousands of coins of gold and silver." 

Psalm 119:71-72

It is good to be afflicted to learn more compassion, grace, and wisdom. 

It is good to learn more about what to say and what not to say.

It is good to grow in faith and trust in the all-powerful, mysterious, and good Most High God.

It is good not to 'know everything.' 

It is good to know that God does not work by formula, and that He cannot be put into any kind of box by any kind of person.  

It is good to learn to listen, to sympathize, to pray more and to speak less.

"And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." 

Romans 8:28 

God is Faithful

I really appreciate all those who have been praying for me. I'm doing 3 treatments for my head pain, and God encourages me to trust in Him, His plan, and His time.

Aunt Alane

My Aunt Alane passed away this week. 

Some years ago when her mother, my grandmother, died, Aunt Alane told me that besides the pain of losing her mother, she lost someone who prayed for her everyday. 

I would now say the same thing about my Aunt Alane. I've lost someone very special who faithfully prayed for me.    

One of the last things she wrote to me,

"Aimee, I pray for you each day and will continue to do so.  I am reminded of the fact that we only see the underside of the quilt, which is our life.  God sees the top side, which is the beautiful pattern that is our life in His eyes."  

I thank the Lord for my Aunt Alane's life and her example of faithful prayer.

Easter Meditations

"I lay in a field, filthy, covered in dirt and blood, and You picked me up, washed me off, and dressed me in royal robes.
